De bedoeling van deze taak was om een autobiografie te schrijven, deze moest dan gaan over de IT in mijn leven. Hieronder kan u mijn autobiografie lezen. Deze taak was voor het vak Engels. Daarom dat de autobiografie in het Engels is geschreven. Hopelijk kan deze taak u boeien.

IT-autobiography

My name is Christoph Van Geertsom. I’m 18 years old and I am a student at the Immaculata Instituut Oostmalle. In this IT-autobiography I will tell you about my IT life. I hope you will enjoy it.

It all started when I was a little kid. I think I was around 5 years old. I had a Gameboy Advance SP, and I started playing Pokémon on it. I was really interested how they could make a game like that. Then I asked my mother for a computer. After a lot of whining my mother bought a computer. Those were the first steps for me in the IT-world. The sites I visited were sites where you could play games. When I was a little kid I didn’t have a lot of homework on the computer. That way I could really play a lot of games. I now still know that when my mother just got the pc I couldn’t stop playing on it.

IT means a lot to me nowadays. I play games on my pc that I built all by myself. First I thought that I couldn’t build a computer all by myself but I did it anyways. That makes my very proud. I don’t know how my parents and the rest of the older generation did it without IT. I can’t miss my computer or consoles. Normally I spend around 4 or 5 hours a day on my pc. That’s in a weekday, but in the weekends it depends on my hobbies. Normally in the weekends I spend 7 or 8 hours on my pc. I play games on the internet so that takes a lot of time but when I don’t play the game I work for school. There is no one in my family who knows a lot of computers so I think it can come in handy that I can work pretty well with it. The fascinating thing about IT is that it grows so fast. Another thing is that you can do so much with it.

My future purpose is to be an IT teacher or to work with IT on my own. I would really like to become an IT teacher, but it will be very hard. I hope I can make that dream come true. IT became something very important in my life because, like I said earlier, I can’t live without IT. If there weren’t any pc’s or other consoles I think a lot of the world population wouldn’t know how to live. We would all be completely lost.

My conclusion is that I am really thankful that IT exists. If it didn’t exist I would be a whole other person. IT changed more than the half of my life. I am thankful that they made the computer.
